Renrock Engineering Ltd is a family run business covering work mainly in the South East of England and London, however our reputation has taken us all over the UK and abroad. Renrock was established by myself (Stuart Corner) in June 2010, so we have just enjoyed our first decade of trading and I must say it really has flown by. I have over 30 years of experience in electrical engineering (and counting), that started at BP Refinery (Petrochemical) Plant in Grangemouth. I served my 4 year apprenticeship enjoying a further 2 years as a fully qualified maintenance electrical engineer, that gave me such a good grounding and wide understanding of electrics from an early age. After company restructuring, I decided to further my knowledge and experience by proceeding to undertake many electrical engineering projects over the forthcoming years within the industrial and commercial markets. These mainly consisted of electrical maintenance and installation in distribution and manufacturing factories, with varying sizes of projects. Experience in the domestic market has continued to grow over the years too and the decisions by many homeowners to do home improvements rather than moving, means it’s never been more important to ensure your electrics are safe before getting that “castle” decorated. Smart new technologies can really elevate any domestic project and can give a real feel of refined control with great accessibility to the end user that has become the “norm” in everyday life. Thankfully equipment is much more affordable to the wider market now, so everyone has the opportunity to create something impressive with their home electrics. With over 24 years (and counting) as a marine electrical engineer I have served all sizes of privately and publicly ran craft e.g work-boats, pleasure craft, survey vessels, ro-ro cargo ships, passenger ships, containers, salvage craft and tugs to mention a few. I have looked after the electrics on many associated areas within the marine environment such as the mooring platforms, piers+pontoons, dry-docks, slipways and marinas. I have also worked on mobile and fixed cranes that are quite often used to load or unload vessels (when the vessel is afloat) or even used to lift the vessel out for some quay side maintenance. If you have any queries with an up and coming or existing project, please feel free to contact me and I’ll be more than happy to assist you.
